|Use Google Maps to learn where toxic chemicals are being released in your community.
TRI to Earth is an effort to add environmental information on toxic chemicals to Google Maps satellite maps.
Now facilities that are required to report releases of toxic chemicals to EPA's Toxic Release Inventory (TRI)
can be identified as buildings in high resolution satellite photos instead of just nondescript points on a map.
The public can use TRI to Earth to see TRI facilities in their neighborhood and
get detailed reports on what toxic chemicals are being released and how much.
Google Maps combines satellite imagery, maps and the power of Google Search to put
the world's geographic (and environmental) information at your fingertips.
Fly from space to your neighborhood. Type in an address and zoom right in.
Search for schools, parks, restaurants, and hotels. Get driving directions.
Tilt and rotate the view to see 3D terrain and buildings.
